Dominique Michel: Most framework agreements include monitoring mechanisms involving the participation of trade unions. These mechanisms include specific actions by management and workers` representatives, such as the dissemination (and, if necessary, translation) of the enterprise-wide agreement, or the development of joint training programmes. Some agreements provide for joint missions by the relevant national union and the World Trade Union Association to monitor the implementation of the agreement on the ground. Most of them also have mechanisms for the World Confederation of Trade Unions to deal with a case if the company violates the terms of the agreement. The purpose of the framework agreements between UNHCR and its suppliers is to define the terms of the terms of the terms and conditions of the terms of the terms of the contracts to be signed over a specified period of time, including with regard to items, price, quality, quantity and delivery. A framework agreement is not an interim agreement. It is more detailed than a statement of principle, but less than a full-fledged contract. The ILO Director-General attended the signing of some of them, such as Chiquita. Several ILO departments (social dialogue sector, Institute of Labour Studies, employers` and workers` business offices and the programme of multinational enterprises) monitor and analyse these developments. The ILO`s tripartite declaration on multinational enterprises and social policy is a useful reference point for companies considering the content of these agreements. This statement contains recommendations on the desirable behaviour of companies in terms of employment, equal opportunities and treatment, qualifications, working conditions, occupational health and safety and labour relations. Under international law, such an agreement between countries or groups may recognize that they cannot reach full agreement on all issues, but that they are prepared to assess a structure to resolve certain differences of opinion.  Dominique Michel: An International Framework Agreement (or Global) (IFA) is an instrument negotiated between a multinational and a Federation of the World Union (GUF) to establish an ongoing relationship between the parties and to ensure that the company meets the same standards in all the countries in which it operates. The sectoral unions in the multinational`s country of origin are also involved in the negotiations of the agreement. Although framework agreements are not CSR initiatives, they are often cited in the CSR debate, as they are one of the ways in which companies can express their commitment to certain principles.
